BJP candidate Vijay Kumar Mishra addressed a series of meetings to woo the voters. He said if he was elected, he would leave no stone unturned to make the city clean and healthy.
He said the Samajwadi Party (SP) government failed to provide the common man with basic amenities like power and water. He contacted the voters in Madhawapur, Allahpur, Neta Nagar, Neemsarai, Transport Nagar, Muirabad, Teliyarganj, Engineering college.
Talking to voters, he said the fiscal health of Nagar Nigam would be improved, he said.
SP candidate Vinod Chandra Dubey did not lag behind. He, too, addressed a Vishwakarma Sammelan at Kydganj.
He said if he was elected, he would try his best to improve the condition of Vishwakarma community. Ram Ashare Vishwakarma, State Higher Education Minister, said the Chief Minister had implemented a series of welfare programmes for common people during his three years tenure.
Meanwhile, SP MP, Reoti Raman Singh, claimed the party candidate Vinod Chandra Dubey would Allahabad mayoral election.
Talking to media persons at a press conference here on Tuesday said that Dubey would win the election because he did not have to face any contest from any other parties.
He also claimed the party would win Mayoral seats in Varanasi, Lucknow and Kanpur.
He said the Chief Minister had done a lot for the people of the State. He said an US company was going to set up a float glass factory in Naini to elevate the industrialisation of the city.
