QAUMI MUSHAWIRAT Committee and Husaini Mission of India have demanded the cancellation of proposed visit of the US President George Bush in the first week on March.

National president of the Qaumi Mushawirat Committee Abul Barkat Najmi has labeled the US President as the biggest enemy of mankind and demanded cancellation of his visit to India.
“The UPA government is requested to cancel the visit of US President keeping in view the feelings of Muslim community of the country,” Najmi said.
Issuing a warning to the UPA government, Najmi said if the visit was not canceled then Muslims would be forced to desert Congress in the forthcoming elections and would never forgive the party for this act. The committee also demanded that Parliament must pass a resolution against Denmark and snap its relations with it. The committee members also criticised the government for voting against Iran on theN-energy issue. On the other hand, national president of Husaini Mission of India Mohammed Zafar Husain has also demanded the cancellation of the US president’s visit to India. “I’m requesting the PM to cancel the visit of US President George Bush in the larger interest of the nation,” Husain stated. He also held US responsible for the cartoon imbroglio.
“To divert attention of the Muslim community from the Iran issue, US deliberately got the cartoons published in a Danish newspaper,” Husain alleged.
On the Afghanistan and Iraq issue, Muslim community remained silent but on the issue of Iran, Muslims would not remain silent, Husain asserted.
He also requested the members of the Muslim community to oppose the visit of George Bush.
Members of the Husaini Mission also leveled allegations of defaming Islam on the US President.
