Candidate booked for defacing public property

Police booked RS Majra, an independent candidate from Hissar, for defacing public property by pasting his posters.

Police have registered a case against Randhir Singh Majra, an independent candidate from Hisar Lok Sabha seat, for allegedy defacing public property by pasting his posters during electioneering.

The case has been registered following a complaint by the executive officer of a local body in Hisar on Wednesday.

The complainant said Majra had pasted his posters in various areas of the town, thereby defacing public property.The case was registered under the Defacement of Public Property Act.
