ABHISHEK SINGH, a final year student of electrical engineering from HBTI, Kanpur has decided to file a PIL to press for his demand for holding a CAT retest.

Several others, who feel that errors in CAT paper might result in ‘lesser candidates’ qualifying the prestigious exam, have decided to take out a peaceful candlelight march that would start from Sardar Patel memorial at Hazratganj crossing at 6 pm on Sunday. “I would be joining the march simply because retest is the only logical course to take. I have decided to file a PIL in a couple of days’ time because the future of several students is at stake and the IIMs have ruled out a retest,” said Abhishek. Abhishek said that this year’s Maths paper was easy. “But, because of the errors it has now resulted in candidates who had prepared well for the exam and were hopeful of a call now standing on the edge”.
