A car crushed an executive with a private firm in Muradnagar area of Ghaziabad on Saturday morning. The Ford Ikon car, which killed Pawan Singhal (35), also reportedly ran over four others causing critical injuries, Peeyush Khandelwal reports.

Police said the five men who were in the car were drunk and the car was speeding.
All the five men are in the age group of 20 to 25 years, police said. Two of them were held, while three managed to escape.
Singhal, who was crushed under the wheels, died on the spot. Police officials rushed the four injured to the hospital.
“Police apprehended Mohd Vakeel and Gopal Kumar. They were drunk state,” said PK Singh, station officer of Muradnagar. “Three others —Mohd Sajid, Mehboob Ansari and Bhura Ahmed — fled the spot leaving the car behind.”
Police said the three men escaped with some bags. “We are trying to locate them as they seemed to be involved in criminal activities after initial investigations,” Singh said. “We have registered a case against these men.”
The car seized by the police officials bore a Delhi number.
