Case has spoilt my career: Meera

Meera Chopra, who has acted in several south Indian movies, said the Ruchi Bhuttan case has spoilt her career prospects. She said she has been dragged into the case unnecessarily.

She claimed she will file a defamation suit against Ruchi's parents.

"The case came up at a time when I got a chance to work in Ram Gopal Verma's movie Apartment. Now I'm not sure what will happen. I was also supposed to go to Switzerland for a shoot, but I could not as the police were searching for me," said Meera.

Meera's father Sudesh Chopra, who runs a business in Delhi, said the family is upset that his daughter's name has been linked with the case.

Her brother Vikram said her call details of the last 13 months revealed only one call that she made to Sumit.

"It shows that she and Sumit were not friends," said Vikram.
