The duo had been served notices by the CBI to appear before the agency after it registered a Preliminary Enquiry (PE) into the case, highly-placed CBI sources said.
CBI sources said both of them were questioned "partially" and would be questioned again but it was not immediately clear when.
The CBI after registering a PE on November 18 had sent notices to both Judeo and Rateria. However, the duo had cited electioneering as one of the reasons for not appearing before the agency.
They were again sent a notice on December 5 after which the two appeared before the CBI for questioning.
The CBI would now ascertained whether to convert the PE into a Regular Case (RC) as the motive behind the bribe and the amount taken was not clear so far.
