CBI raids residence of development fund scandal accused

The CBI today raided the premises of a relative of R H Khan, the prime accused in the multi crore development fund scandal in Assam's North Cachar Hill district.

The CBI on Tuesday raided the premises of a relative of R H Khan, the prime accused in the multi crore development fund scandal in Assam's North Cachar Hill district.

Official sources said a team of CBI sleuths raided the house of one Rahul Khan, relative of R H Khan, at the Shivmandir Lane, Baghorbari area of the city. The team detected a concealed concrete chamber near the bathroom of house and seized some bundles of currency notes.

The CBI however refused to confirm whether cash was seized during the raid.

Earlier the CBI had recovered Rs 14 crore in cash from the house of Khan in Guwahati. He has been arrested and currently under judicial custody.
