CBI rejects docs reports alleging no rape

In a major twist in the Shopian murder case, the CBI today distanced itself from the doctors' reports according to which one of the victims, Asiya Jan, 17, was not raped and actually died a virgin.

The mystery surrounding the Shopian rape and murder case seems to de deepening further as the CBI today distanced itself from the doctors' reports according to which one of the victims, Asiya Jan (17) was not raped and actually died a virgin.

The reports were submitted by medical experts from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, the CBI said that her rape cannot be confirmed till the forensic reports are out. The bodies of the two victims, Asiya and her sister-in-law Nelofar (21) were exhumed on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Bar Association has distanced itself from the case.
