Concluding the arguments on rape and murder charges, CBI told the Division Bench of Delhi High Court that it would argue on the capital punishment later.

Mattoo was murdered in January 1996 at her residence in Vasant Kunj area of south Delhi allegedly by Santosh Singh, whose father was a senior IPS officer.

A Delhi trial court had acquitted Santosh Singh after giving him benefit of doubt.
