"The conviction of INLD chief Om Prakash Chautala and my brother Ajay Singh Chautala in the JBT teachers' recruitment scam case is a ploy of the Congress to keep the INLD away from power," Abhey said at a rally in Mallekan village in the district.

In the past, the Congress has used the CBI against Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal, Samjawadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and several other leaders, the Ellenabad legislator said. "The INLD party is not afraid of such Congress' tactics and my father will contest the next assembly elections from Ellenabad."

Abhey urged his party workers to strengthen the INLD so that the party could give a befitting reply to the Congress in the next elections.INLD state president Ashok Arora and senior party leader Rampal Majra were among those present at the rally.
