“The Union government has adopted the Muslim appeasement policy for the vested political interest. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, being the chief executive of the nation in presence of chief ministers of several states, during the meeting of the National Development Council had clearly mentioned it,” he said.
Rudi said succumbing to the pressure of the Left Front, the budget of country was being communalised in the name of division of resources on the basis of religion. The West Bengal government was the first to receive a circular to this effect from the Centre. This trend would pose a great danger to unity and integrity of the nation, he added. Speaking on the occasion to mark the 5th anniversary of the terrorist strike on the Parliament today, he said due to pressure of the Union government, clemency petition of some social organisations for Afzal Guru lying with the President, has not been finalised yet.
It seems that the UPA government wanted to take advantage of the delay in the execution of Guru for the electoral gains in future, he said.
Commenting over the political scenario of UP, he opined that functioning of the SP-led government in UP and rule of the former chief minister of Bihar Rabri Devi were similar. People fed up with misrule of the Lalu family for last 15 years uprooted the Rabri government in Bihar. Similarly, people of the UP should uproot the SP government, he added.
