Ch'garh HC issues notices to Collector

HC issues notice to the Durg Collector and two other officers, after accepting a petition filed against them in the wake of transfers in the revenue deprtment.

The Chhattisgarh High Court, has issued a notice to the Durg Collector and two other officers of the district, after accepting a petition filed against them in the wake of transfers in the revenue deprtment.

According to the available information, one revenue inspector posted in Anda village of Durg district, had filed a petition in the Chhattisgarh High Court, against his transfer order. The Court ordered stay on this issue and sent a copy of the order to the collector and other responsible officers, for necessary action.

However the petitioner was not allowed to resume office at his original place, even when he produced the high court order. The petitioner again filed a petition informing the Court about the stand taken by the district administration and the concerned officer of Revenue department .

The court subsequently issued notices to the collector Subrat Sahu, deputy collector Dharmaveer Sahu and sub divisional officer Taran Sinha. They all have been asked to give their reply on the transfer issue.
