Challenge to liberals

Sadia Dehlvi’s article Ideology of intolerance (July 26) is thought-provoking. Most educated Indians understand it that it is a particular brand of Islam that is on the warpath with the rest of the world. But someone has to stand up to these misguided few who kill and maim in the name of Islam, a religion of peace. Moderates and liberals among Muslims have to pick up the gauntlet thrown down by the extremists.
