The flight, scheduled to take off from the airport in Chennai at 4.30 AM with 280 passengers, was cancelled at around 9 AM following an alert from London, airport sources said.
Meanwhile, a private aircraft which left for Port Blair this morning with 13 passengers on board returned to Chennai as it could not land there due to bad weather conditions.
The flight would leave for Port Blair on Tuesday, the sources said.
