Chhota Rajan aide gunned down in Mumbai

A member of Chhota Rajan gang, wanted for five years in several cases of robbery, was killed in a shootout with police at suburban Kandivali on Tuesday afternoon, police sources said.

On a tip-off, members of the crime branch police laid a trap for Sunil Sudhakar Mirghad at Kamla Vihar sports club in Kandivali Poisar locality at about 2.45 pm.

Spotting the gangster, the police asked him to surrender but instead he fired at the policemen who retaliated killing him on the spot, the sources said.

Mirghad was taken to Rajawadi hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
