PRP Krishna district unit joint convenor K Nageswara Rao and Vijayawada unit joint convenor Phani Prasad too quit the party.

Nani, a leading transport operator, said today that 75 per cent of party posts in Vijayawada and Krishna district units of PRP were given to Kapus and only the balance to the other communities.

Even at the state-level, 46 per cent of the posts were given to Kapus, he pointed out.

He said everything was fine in Vijayawada PRP until Congress MLA Vangaveeti Radhakrishnan switched sides.

"Casteism, particularly the dominance of Kapus, grew in PRP only after Radha joined the party", Nani charged.

Nani, who operates the largest private bus fleet in the state, had joined PRP with lot of fanfare two months ago and was recently appointed its Vijayawada unit convenor.
