Music director K Ratnesh has gradually carved out a niche for himself in the tinsel town through his Bhojpuri compositions. Originally belonging to Anapur near Nawabganj in the district, Ratnesh moved to Mumbai 14 years ago with a thousand dreams in his eyes.
For three years, he tried his hands at composing the melodies for tele-serials. He got break in few movies afterwards but success was still far away from this talented music director. "Now with the huge audience response and unimaginable success of the Bhojpuri movies, the artistes originally belonging to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are looking forward to new opportunities in Bollywood," said Ratnesh.
He was in city recently to attend a function as his family now resides in Rajrooppur.
"At present I am composing music for three Bhojpuri movies. 'Piya tose naina lage' in which the singers are Anuradha Paudwal, Sadhana Sargam and Udit Narayan as well as Vineet from Sa Re Ga Ma Pa who has also been given a chance. 'Aisan gaon hamar' and 'Dil se' are other two movies," he said.
He admitted that Bhojpuri movies and songs will further gain audience in the coming years. "Bhojpuri songs were used in Hindi movies earlier. Similar situation is being restored. However, the music directors are bound to compromise ," added Ratnesh.
