As usual, colours, music and dance marked the festivities. Several Hindu organisations took out processions from different parts of new and old Bhopal. The Hindu Utsav Samiti took out traditional procession from different parts of the old City, which culminated at Somwara Chowk where revelers danced with music and colours. The Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) had provided tankers mixed with colours.

These tankers poured water on the revelers through pumps. The BMC had also made arrangement for water on the routes of the procession. On the other hand, Nav Yuvak Hindu Utsav Samiti also took out the procession from new city areas.

Coordinator of the Samiti, Mukesh Rai said the march began from the Nehru Nagar Square at 10.30 am with a large group of people and bands playing traditional Holi tunes and ended at New Market. Revelers played with colours and distributed sweets as the procession marched on.

Ajay Mishra, Deepak Bhatnagar, SK Mishra, Lalit Gupta, Pradeep Khandelwal, Deepak Chaudhary and Kunjilal Yadav participated in the march along with many band parties and representatives of various Holika Utsav Groups.
