THE STUDENTS faced a number of problems on the very first day of Class X examination of the MP Secondary Board of Education today. Though the Class XII examinations yesterday started on a good note, the board failed to provide necessary facilities to the Class X students today. The poor arrangements in exam centres could be gauged from the fact that at some centres not even furniture was available.

In the Ubaidia Government School, Royal Market, some students had to sit in the corridor open from all sides because required arrangements were not made. According to sources, at least 40 more students than the capacity of the centre were accommodated there. Without caring about the security, some students were asked to sit in a place that was not completely constructed.

In another incident, there was a panic situation for the students in the Ankur School. The board gave centre to over 600 students here, whereas the capacity of the centre was around 250. It is said that the centre was given to some students who appeared in exam through correspondence course.

However, the board sent the additional students to Aurobindo School centre. After his inspection, DPI Commissioner suspended two officials on the ground of irregularity in work. The suspended officials were P K Khare of Chhatarpur and V K Jain of Guna.
