The Inside Man star will also be serving as executive producer for making film adaptations of The Big Sleep and Farewell My Lovely.
The project is in the beginning stages at present, and movie bosses are deciding as to what title should they adapt, reports Contactmusic.
Owen will once again narrate the dramas, after working as a narrator in the film Sin City.
The films, to be set in the 1940’s Los Angeles, are expected to maintain the dark spirit of the Chandler books, with Marlowe continuing to be a hard-drinking, wise-cracking investigator.
