CM apprehends threat to life

The chief minister said this was apart an exercise to brand him an ISI agent.
Yadav said he had concrete information in this connection. Amar Singh said top intelligence agencies -IB, RAW- had conspired against Yadav.
Addressing newly elected block pramukhs at the party headquarters here, the chief minister said initially there was a plan to kill him only, but after his rivals realised that the Samajwadi Party would be safe in the hands of Amar Singh and Akhilesh Yadav, the plot had been changed to include Amar Singh also.
The chief minister said moves were afoot to brand him an “ISI agent”.
While Yadav dared the rivals to prove him an “anti-national”, Amar Singh once again targeted Raj Bhawan for “plotting” against Yadav.
Indirectly referring to SP MP from Agra Raj Babbar, who had given some facts about his (Amar Singh) activities to the Governor, Amar Singh said Babbar was being used by Raj Bhawan in a plot against the government. Amar Singh also said the Supreme Court had banned the CD, but in contempt of the court order, the Governor was involved in the drive against Yadav. The chief minister said the High Court judgement in the BSP MLAs’ case was not against the government.
He also said utter confusion had been created in this connection. Asserting that there was no threat to the government, the chief minister said the rivals’ gameplan against him would be foiled. He claimed the Congress, the BJP and the BSP had joined hands against the SP. Though Yadav said he did not want to give a clarification on the ISI issue, he added that Army intelligence had intimated him about his name being on terrorists’ hit list. Calling upon party workers to prepare for assembly elections, Yadav said polls would be held on time. He said the UP election would change the political landscape in the country.
The chief minister said the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) was a natural ally of the SP and the alliance with it would continue. He also said opposition parties were quite worried about the alliance. Yadav assailed the UPA Government for “surrendering before the US”.
He said no neighbouring country, including China, was now happy with India, due to the tilt towards the United States.
