CM Ibrahim joins Congress

However, along with CM Ibrahim two other ministers, former minister KB Mallappa and former MLA Parameshwarappa, too join Congress.

CM Ibrahim, former Union Minister and a one-time close associate of former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda, on Friday joined Congress.

Ibrahim had left JD(S) after the 2004 Lok Sabha elections.

He was in All India Progressive Janata Dal for sometime and associated himself with a Lucknow-based Muslim organisation as also "AHINDA" (a social movement forged by minorities, backwards and dalits) in Karnataka.

KPCC President M Mallkarjuna Kharge welcomed him into the party.

Along with Ibrahim, a few others including former minister KB Mallappa and former MLA Parameshwarappa joined Congress.
