Meanwhile, at BRD Medical College, preparations are in full swing to welcome the chief minister at the medical college, where he would lay the foundation stone of two epidemic wards having a capacity of 100 beds besides a regional surveillance unit with an investment of Rs 1 crore. The Postmortem House would start functioning from January 15 as the renovation work of the building has been completed after an investment of Rs 6 lakh.
The divisional commissioner took the initiative to renovate the post mortem house building at the medical college to conduct practical examination of postgraduate students.
Junior Doctors’ Association is hopeful that the proposed visit of the CM would pave way for saving the recognition of the college by Medical Council of India (MCI).
It may be recalled that on his visit to the Medical College on September 28 last year, the CM had promised to save the recognition of the college and said that he wanted to see this college among one of the best colleges of India.
