CHIEF MINISTER Shivraj Singh Chouhan is learnt to have given green signal for issuing a show-cause notice to former Chief Secretary Vijay Singh.
Singh, who is Secretary in the Government of India, will be asked to explain why he had not mentioned about the pending FIR against IAS officer S R Mohanty with respect to the ICD scam while writing letters to Department of Personnel and Training
However, as Chief Secretary Rakesh Sahni was not in the town today, the notice could not be issued to the former chief secretary. It is likely to be served in a couple of days.
With issuance of the proposed notice, Vijay Singh will become the second chief secretary after B K Dubey to have been issued a show-cause notice.
The Hindustan Times in today’s edition published report regarding State Government’s intention to slap notice on the former Chief Secretary prominently.
