The much-awaited Commonwealth Express, a fully air-conditioned and painted with exciting sporting exterior graphics, will arrive in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.
The train aims to create awarness among the people regarding Commonwealth Games, scheduled to begin in New Delhi in October.
The specially-designed train will remain open to public on August 7 and 8 at Mancheswar station, official sources said.
There is no entry fee to visit in the train.
Of the 11 coaches, five coaches have been dedicated to sports activities and another six coaches for a complete IT story of India to be told by the way of backlit translities, short information films.
One of the coaches has been designed as an auditorium with internet, video conferencing and mobile communication facilities.
Coach one depicts the history of Commonwealth Games along with details on the present games which consists the mascot of CWG Shera, Queens Baton Relay, Green games concept, the route of the baton and others.
Similarly, coach number 2 has been designed so as to give a general acquaintance with the massive changeover of Delhi in order to host this world class event.
Coach-3 will provides details of various sports disciplines, included in this CWG, venue along with dates has been displayed.
Coach-4, dedicated to the outstanding sportspersons of India, is decorated with photographs of these heroes of the past as well as present while Coach-5 exhibits contribution of Railways in development of sports and highlights star Railway Sports persons and list of awardees of Arjuna, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, Dronacharya, Padmashree and Dhyanchand.
