Cong clears 93 names for 2nd phase of assembly poll

Kumara Bangarappa, R V Deshpande and L Revanasiddiah are among the total 93 names cleared by the Congress.

Kumara Bangarappa son of S. Bangarappa, who recently quit Congress and joined BJP, and former ministers R V Deshpande and L Revanasiddiah are among the total 93 names cleared by the Congress High Command late tonight for the Karnataka Assembly poll.

Kumara Bangarappa will contest from Sorab assembly constituency and R V Deshpande and L Revanasiddiah from Haliyal and Chamundesuari assembly constituencies respectively.

The party high command announced the list for the second phase of assembly poll of Karnataka.
