Addressing a public meeting in Randhirpur Assembly constituency of Dahod district in last leg of her campaign for December 12 polls, Sonia said, "BJP had made several promises to the tribals of the state four and a half years ago to uplift them and provide better basic facilities but failed to keep their promises."

"All their promises and achievements are only on paper. Even the money allotted for their development has been misused," she alleged.

This was the second tribal belt region that the Congress president has addressed during her campaign trail. Earlier, she launched her campaign for Gujarat Assembly polls on December 3 from Hadod district after offering prayers at the renowned Ambaji temple.

The Congress president would address the last meeting at Rajkot in BJP dominated Saurashtra region, this evening.
