THE ‘GAON Gaon Chalo, Ghar Ghar Chalo’ campaign of the State Congress got underway all over Madhya Pradesh today. According to party’s State organisation general secretary Narmada Prasad Sharma, the campaign was being organised to highlight the inability of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government to keep its electoral promises, misrule and corruption under the BJP dispensation.

The campaign, which began today at the sector level will be expanded at the booth level from Tuesday. Dharnas, agitations and intensive public contacts will be held during the campaign.

While apprising failures of the State Government, Congress cadres would also inform masses on welfare schemes initiated by the Union Government including the Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Food for Work scheme, Rajiv Gandhi Rural Electrification Scheme and Bharat Nirman Yojana. Sharma further said people would be apprised that the BJP Government in the State had nothing to do with these schemes.

A list of people, who do not have their names enlisted in the electoral list and the below poverty line (BPL), would also be prepared during the campaign.
