Police said they arrested two persons, including a 20-year old woman, from the house of the constable, who managed to escape along with his wife.

The arrests were made when police carried out a raid at the house at Cauvery Nagar of Mettur following a tip-off that the policeman was operating a prostitution racket for the last six months.

A case was registered against the four persons under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act and a search was on for the constable and his wife, Mettur DSP S Sivanandam said.
