A team of forensic experts has collected fingerprints and other evidence from the house, where the tragedy unfolded on Friday. Police are still awaiting reports, said SSP Vineet Vinayak.

Three suicide notes with varying content were found in the house, police said. Experts are examining the notes to verify the handwritings and match them with other documents in the room in which Singh was found dead.

“It is being ascertained whether the three suicide notes were written by the same person,” Vinayak said. They are trying to get cell phone records of the deceased JD(U) legislator from Jamui. “The scrutiny of the call details may provide some clue to the reason behind the incident,” he said.
