Talking about the training, joint commissioner of police, Gurgaon, Alok Mittal said, “It was conducted by the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IMAI). It was based on case studies, problems related to cyber crimes and solving cases through mobile surveillance, among others.”
Besides, the police are considering the importance of upgrading their employees to counter cyber criminals.
“With the rising number of cyber crimes such as hacking email ID, fraudulent monetary transfers or creation of fake accounts and criminals generating newer modes to conduct such crimes, the police have to counter them by such training sessions,” said Mittal.
According to the joint commissioner, the participants were also enthusiastic to learn new techniques that will help them solve the cases.
The police have conducted similar training sessions in March. Mittal assured residents that such sessions would be conducted on a regular basis.
