Cops work out murder case

WITH THE arrest of four persons on Monday, police claimed to have worked out the murder case of 28-year-old historysheeter Kali Das Yadav, executed in Ramapura area on Friday. Police have recovered four firearms from the possession of arrested persons.

WITH THE arrest of four persons on Monday, police claimed to have worked out the murder case of 28-year-old historysheeter Kali Das Yadav, executed in Ramapura area on Friday. Police have recovered four firearms from the possession of arrested persons.

Acting on a tip off that the assailants of Kali Das Yadav were present at separate places in Bhelupur area, cops raided the place and nabbed them.

Sensing the presence of police, the assailants made an abortive attempt to flee but the cops led by station officer Satyendra Tiwari foiled their attempt.

It may be noted that Kali Das a resident of Dashashwamedh area, was sitting on a tea stall on the banks of Ganga on Friday afternoon, when an acquainted youth started talking to him. Later, he followed the motorcycle of that youth on his bike.

Soon, Kali was shot dead from a point blank range in a lane of Ramapura area under the Luxa police station. Sanjay Yadav, brother of deceased, had lodged an FIR against five named accused in this connection.

During investigation, police came to the conclusion that the five accused named in FIR by the brother of deceased, were not the real assailants of Kali but four other shooters had killed him.

Acting on a tip off that real shooters of Kali were present in Bhelupur area, DSP TN Tripathi and SO, raided at a house where they nabbed the two accused. Soon, on their revelation, cops raided another locality and nabbed two more shooters.

The arrested shooters have admitted their involvement in several cases of heinous crime. The interrogation was continuing till the filing of this report.

Kali Das, was a history-sheeter of Kotwali and Dashashwamedh police stations where cases of murder, attempt to murder, loot and snatching were lodged against him.
