Chief Minister Ajit Jogi and Assembly Speaker Rajendra Prasad Shukla are among the 819 candidates whose fate were sealed in the electronic voting machines (EVMs) in the maiden elections to the state assembly on December 1.
Jogi was locked in a straight contest with Opposition leader Nandkumar Sai in Bilaspur.
The closely contested polls would decide whether the Congress retains power in the state or the BJP wrests it.
