While extending the interim bail granted on medical grounds, designated TADA Judge P D Kode expressed his satisfaction with the health condition of the accused.

Qureshi was granted interim bail three months back and was permitted to receive treatment for his liver disease at a private hospital.

According to prosecution, Qureshi had actively participated in the conspiracy of the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts, as well as the landing of arms and explosives, which were supposedly used in the blasts.
