Court rejects Amarmani's plea to attend Assembly

A district court on Wednesday rejected the application of former Uttar Pradesh Minister Amar Mani Tripathi.

Tripathi is at present in jail in connection with the poetess Madhumita Shukla murder case, seeking permission to attend the ongoing budget session of the Assembly.

The District and Sessions judge Shiv Charan Sharma rejected the application after hearing the counsels for both defence and CBI.

Tripathi, his wife and three others were currently in jail in the poetess' murder case.
