Court rejects Ramalinga Raju’s bail plea

The special CBI court on Thursday rejected the bail petition of former Satyam Computers’ chairman B Ramalinga Raju and six other accused in the multi-billion dollar Satyam account fraud case.

The special CBI court on Thursday rejected the bail petition of former Satyam Computers’ chairman B Ramalinga Raju and six other accused in the multi-billion dollar Satyam account fraud case.

Besides Ramalinga Raju, the others who had sought bail included his brother and then company managing director B Rama Raju, ex- CFO Srinivas Vadlamani, ex-employees G Ramakrishna, D Venkatpathi Raju, Ch Srisailam and former PwC auditor Subramani Gopalakrishnan.

The XXI additional chief metropolitan magistrate BVLN Chakravarthi pronounced oral orders rejecting the bail application, in the presence of Ramalinga Raju.
