Speaking to the reporters here today, Shankaracharya who has been observing a five day Bhagwan Parshuram Mahayagna, on the hills of Gunj-Kathi of Wada taluka, said, "Cow should also be declared as a national animal by the government, besides lion. It should not be slaughtered as it gives milk to people."

The founder of the Bhagwan Parshuram Sena, who have been organising the five-day yagna, Om Prakash Sharma has also undertaken the reponsibility to spread the message all over the country.

Several pundits and religious persons across the country have also been participating in the Yagana, which, according to them, will benefit not not only the mankind but also the nation.
