A CPI(M) activist was killed and five others were injured when miscreants threw bombs at the party office at Chalksari village in West Bengal, the police said.

The injured were involved in a party programme last night when they were allegedly attacked by Congress men. The deceased was identified as Alam Saikh (30).
The injured have been admitted to a local hospital.
Six Congress activists, including block leader Shamin Skaikh, have been arrested in this connection, District Superintendent of Police Dilip Mondol said.
District Left Front convenor Jiban Maitra alleged that Congress supporters had been targeting the party office at Chalksari block ever since it was set up some time back.
