Creche for Central Jail inmates? children
A CRECHE will be established in Bhopal Central Jail to provide a healthy environment to children of jail inmates. The foundation stone for the creche was laid on Tuesday.
A CRECHE will be established in Bhopal Central Jail to provide a healthy environment to children of jail inmates. The foundation stone for the crèche was laid on Tuesday.
Jail authorities said the aim of setting up the crèche was to ensure that children of women prisoners should grow up in such an environment that should be conducive to their overall mental and physical growth.
Apart from this a typing institute with the help of Department of Public Instructions (DPI) was also formally inaugurated on Tuesday.
Jail inmates will be able to learn typing so that they could get employment after completing their prison term. Along with the typing institute, the examination centre for the same has also been established.
Rajya Sabha MP Maya Singh has sanctioned Rs 3.08 lakh for the construction of the crèche. Besides, the factory shed was also set up. Construction of the second wall at the jail has also begun in order to make the prison more secure. Senior officials of the jail department were present. New Year and Id were also celebrated in the auditorium of the jail.
