A CRPF jawan allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said in Jammu.

A CRPF jawan allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said in Jammu on Sunday.

The incident occurred when Sepoy Jatinder Kumar of 174 battalion of CRPF shot himself with his service rifle at his camp last night, they said.

The jawan belonged to Gurdaspur district of Punjab, and preliminary investigation revealed that he was distressed due to family problems, police said.
