CRPF jawan injured in firing at district jail
A CRPF jawan was today injured after being hit by a bullet at District Jail in Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir, police said in Jammu.

A CRPF jawan was today injured after being hit by a bullet at District Jail in Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir, police said in Jammu.
CRPF jawan Basant Kumar, who is posted at District Jail in Udhampur, about 65-kms from Jammu, was rushed to Army Hospital this morning after he was injured, they said.
However, it was not immediately known whether he was injured in accidental fire from his official weapon or from somewhere else, they said, adding the matter was being investigated by the jail authorities and the police.
Kumar, of 187 CRPF battalion, hails from Rajasthan and had recently rejoined his duties after coming from leave, they said.
