The committee functions for an year and in April, after the completion of the tenure, new committee is formed. Each year a colourful cultural event is organised during the farewell function.
This year the members left no stone unturned in exposing their talent. Songs, dances and caricature added to the celebrations. The event kick started with the welcome speech of present president Saroj Arora.
The most interesting event was 'geetmalika' in which the participants presented the latest hit numbers from Bollywood movies and also the old goldies of the black and white era. Sushma Gaur, Saroj Arora, Meenu Rani Dubey, Padma Tandon, Neha Singh, Lata Maheshwari, Nishi Agarwal and Bhawna Gaur presented melodious songs.
Dance on the foot tapping number 'Bijuriya bijuriya....' presented by Shraddha Bhargava and Aradhana Kapoor enthralled the audience. Manju Sharma's caricature based on the comparison between the old and new songs was appreciated by those present.
Antakshari was also organised on the occasion in which the participants competed through the teams --Neal- Nikki, Bunty- Bubbly, Veer-Zara and Sita-Geeta. Each team had two participants. Veer-Zara team won the antakshari rounds while the runner up team was Bunty-Bubbly. Fun games were also held and prizes were distributed to the winners. The event was conducted by Sushma Gaur and convened by Meenu Rani Dubey. Vote of thanks was proposed by secretary Samidha Sachdeva.
