Curfew continued for the sixth day on Friday in five areas of Aligarh town hit by communal clashes following the killing of a local BJP leader as police intensified their search for two hired killers believed to be behind the murder.

Official sources said police had prepared computer-generated sketches of the two men suspected of having shot BJP leader OP Gupta on the basis of descriptions provided by eyewitnesses.
"Our investigations are moving steadily and our objective is to have a water-tight case and to ensure we get hold of the real culprits," District Magistrate Anil Kumar Sagar said.
The sources said the authorities preferred not to relax curfew till Gupta's killers are nabbed.
The communal clashes triggered by the killing of Gupta left two men -- Azimullah and Balu Shamshad -- dead. Police has also prepared sketches of their killers using information provided by eyewitnesses, including Azimullah's widow Uzma.
Police on Thursday detained over half a dozen persons for questioning but no arrests have been made so far.
