Cut pay of unruly MPs: Laloo
The Railway Minister has suggested enactment of a law to stop salary for the days to those MPs who disrupt proceedings in Parliament.
As the Opposition plans to boycott his Budget presentation on the tainted ministers issue, Railway Minister Laloo Prasad has suggested enactment of a law to stop salary for the days to those MPs who disrupt proceedings in Parliament.
"A new law should be adopted to see that those disrupting the House proceedings should not be paid the salary for the days they disrupt the proceedings," he said on Sunday while participating in a programme on BBC radio.
He said despite NDA-led opposition's threat to boycott the Budget, "I will present it on 6th (July) whether somebody listens or not. Through Parliament I would inform and address the Indian public.....I don't care, damn care."
On Godhra carnage in Gujarat, he said, "we would carefully and legally examine everything....It is a matter concerning our Railways. The nation has a right to know the truthful sequence of the incident that led to the murder of thousands of innocent people."
