Datacraft’s new security offerings are called Worm Killer Solution, Traffic Auditing and Provisioning System (TAPS) and BS7799 Policy Gap Analysis.

Datacraft says the security solutions are developed to arm enterprises and service providers with heightened levels of proactive security and damage control measures to safeguard against security breaches. It also provides organisations with the intelligence to elevate their security postures through a detailed assessment of the current IT security system.

Datacraft Worm Killer Solution provides ‘Day Zero’ protection that enables organisations to stay protected immediately from current & new worm infections. Unlike traditional anti-virus software, Datacraft Worm Killer solution does not depend on virus signature to detect and prevent new worm infections. Instead, the solution detects worms by their behaviour patterns and immediately contains the damages without the need to update the signature. This effectively frees up an organisation’s resources by proactively protecting the networks without the need for human intervention.

TAPS, another Datacraft turnkey solution, is unique for its ability to protect a Service Provider’s network infrastructure from network degradation and congestion, while minimising service downtime caused by virus/worms attacks at the backbone level. TAPS is designed to complement existing security solutions such as firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Anti Virus Systems (AVS). Additionally, TAPS is able to perform backbone traffic management in real-time, capturing and analysing Layer 1 to Layer 7 traffic flows in network infrastructure.
