However, sources said that meeting of officials of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), DMRC and Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) is scheduled for Tuesday in connection with the Metro project up to YMCA crossing in Faridabad.

"Once the MoU between the DMRC and Haryana government is signed, we will move ahead with this project," said Kumar Keshav, Director Projects and Planning DMRC. "We are waiting for Haryana government's nod in this direction," he added.

It may be mentioned that the NHAI has already okayed DMRC's proposal for change of alignment from middle of the National Highway number two to left side of National Highway from Badarpur side.

This change, the officials said was imperative in view of NHAI's plans to widen the National Highway and the same will not hamper work of both the agencies.

The 13.8-km Metro line from Badarpur to Faridabad's YMCA Chowk will be elevated with nine stations.
