Delhi-Chandigarh highway cleared

Thousands of vehicles were stranded between Karnal and Kurukshetra since morning as people protesting no power supply have blocked the highway.

People protesting against no power supply had created a massive traffic jam on the Delhi-Chandigarh highway on Saturday morning.

However, the movement of highway traffic began around 12.15 pm.

The protesters had blocked both sides of the highway at a place called Nilokheri between Karnal and Kurukshetra since 10.15 am.

As a result, thousands of vehicles were stranded on the highway with no signs of relief for the commuters.
