“The victim, Udey Chand (65), a resident of Daulat Pur, suffered serious injuries on his head. He was first rushed to Kailash Hospital and from there he was taken to a Delhi hospital as his condition was critical,” said RN Mishra, deputy superintendent of police.

“The victim’s son, Vikas Rana, stated in the FIR that his father had struck a deal with Rakesh Sharma for supply of scrap.

“They had paid him Rs 11 lakh. But Sharma supplied goods worth Rs 4 lakh only,” said Mishra.

Sharma agreed to pay the balance money and called Udey Chand to his residence.

There, they had a heated argument and Sharma took out his gun and opened fire at the businessman.

An attempt to murder case has been registered at Kasna police station against the accused. “The accused is absconding,” said Mishra.
