Demand for Central status to SSU

Acoording to a press release, Dr Mishra apprised Parliament that all courses were taught in Sanskrit language at Sampurnanad Sanskrit University (SSU) and it was a premiere centre of Sanskrit and oriental studies in the world.

The MP said that several colleges affiliated to SSU were situated in different states such as Rajhasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh, etc.

Mishra also demanded modernisation of the SSU along with its affiliated colleges, for the development of oriental studies.
